Here is my cartoon in response to the French magazine, Charlie Hebdo , being attacked by fanatics. Terrorists do their shit to frighten people. The opposite is happening with the resolve to protect free speech being demonstrated by people around the world. These cowardly terrorist murderers have been shouted down. #JeSuisCharlie

As Secretary Geithner noted this morning , repeal would be bad for business and bad for the economy. Repealing the Affordable Care Act would also have a significant effect on families’ bank accounts. Renowned cartoonist Hadi Heidari who contributes to several reformist newspapers and heads the website Persian Cartoon was arrested in the capital Tehran on the evening of October 22. He was among several people arrested while taking part in a religious ceremony in honour of political prisoners, held at the home of Shehaboldin Tabatabai, one of the prisoners close to the reformist party, Participation. Some of them were released the following day but around a dozen others, including Heidari, were moved to Evin prison. Heidari was cultural editor of the banned daily Etemad-e Melli. The editor of the newspaper, Mohammad Ghochani, a member of its editorial staff, Fayaz Zahed, and website editor, Mohammad Davari, are all still in prison. Dear All  As you know, Israel seized and confiscated 19,000,000 donums of Palestinian land which makes 93% of Israel's area. Now Israel passed a law which effectively allow the sale of this land to any Jew any where. Adalah alerted all to this grave development. Right-Wingers accuse the Obama health care reform as being Fascist. Phony grass roots organizations are packing town hall meetings to drown out questions or debate. They are not interested in working to fix a health care system that is a disaster. They are trying to maintain the status quo. RAFAEL Correa, president of Ecuador, currently visiting Honduras, stated the day before the OAS meeting: "I believe that the OAS has lost its raison d’être, maybe it never had a raison d’être." The news, circulated by ANSA, adds that Correa "prophesized ‘the demise’ of that organization given the many errors it has committed." In the last week, two of our most senior generals with command of our forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have said they oppose the use of torture or so-called "enhanced" interrogation techniques.  These same generals also confirm that the use of these techniques has damaged our international reputation while producing no actionable intelligence. Pat Oliphant, syndicated editorial cartoonist, created a cartoon the other day that has Zionists everywhere screaming their usual accusations of ‘anti-Semitism’ . Bravo, Pat, for being one of the few main stream media cartoonists to make a critical statement about the Israeli government’s over kill in Gaza. Anyone who dares criticize Israel is automatically labeled an anti-Semite so the charge has little meaning any longer. I am surprised that no one has picked up on Oliphant’s reference to the great early 20th Century Communist cartoonist, Robert Minor (1884 - 1952). The Oliphant headless soldier is obviously not  ‘NAZI’ imagery but that of the mindless soldier that Robert Minor called, ‘the perfect soldier’. This soldier dates from World War 1 USA and not NAZI era Germany. I suppose most can be forgiven for not knowing Minor’s work. He was a Communist after all.
