Here is my cartoon in response to the French magazine, Charlie Hebdo , being attacked by fanatics. Terrorists do their shit to frighten people. The opposite is happening with the resolve to protect free speech being demonstrated by people around the world. These cowardly terrorist murderers have been shouted down. #JeSuisCharlie

I am posting this by request of a friend in Gaza. Gaza on 9th and 10th August 2014 The security situation in Gaza Strip is confusing! The Israeli air raids did not stop all night and day! In their air raids in the past 24 hours, they demolished more than 100 homes of civilians! For instance, last night in 30 minutes in border town of Rafah, they attacked an area with 30 missiles from F16s heavy bombers! In the meantime, those Israelis conditioned that they will not join the indirect talks with the Palestinian delegation in Cairo except when the Palestinians stop launching rockets at Israel; the Palestinians stopped their military reaction! It was weird and confusing! At the humanitarian level, some of the displaced people have returned to their somehow damaged homes but it is still in a reasonable condition to stay in! Renowned cartoonist Hadi Heidari who contributes to several reformist newspapers and heads the website Persian Cartoon was arrested in the capital Tehran on the evening of October 22. He was among several people arrested while taking part in a religious ceremony in honour of political prisoners, held at the home of Shehaboldin Tabatabai, one of the prisoners close to the reformist party, Participation. Some of them were released the following day but around a dozen others, including Heidari, were moved to Evin prison. Heidari was cultural editor of the banned daily Etemad-e Melli. The editor of the newspaper, Mohammad Ghochani, a member of its editorial staff, Fayaz Zahed, and website editor, Mohammad Davari, are all still in prison. Dear All  As you know, Israel seized and confiscated 19,000,000 donums of Palestinian land which makes 93% of Israel's area. Now Israel passed a law which effectively allow the sale of this land to any Jew any where. Adalah alerted all to this grave development. Until information about the forthcoming film The Golden Compass came out, I was not familiar with Philip Pullman's novels. Thanks to the standard issue Christian boycott hysteria and misinformation campaign, I have become intrigued by the stories and intend on reading the books and more than likely, seeing the film. Organized religion has done more to turn people away than any book, I must say. While it is impossible to answer the question of God, it is possible to say declaratively that organized religion has been a detriment to Mankind. How much oppression, death, torture and destruction caused by Man in God's name do we need to witness before all sane people reject this madness?   As usual, the Christian freak-out over a new film will do nothing but drive audiences to it.
