Dear All  As you know, Israel seized and confiscated 19,000,000 donums of Palestinian land which makes 93% of Israel's area. Now Israel passed a law which effectively allow the sale of this land to any Jew any where. Adalah alerted all to this grave development. REUTERS Yefimov 'survived not because of Stalin's generosity of soul, but because his talents as a cartoonist' Wed Oct 1, 4:38 PM ET MOSCOW - Celebrated political cartoonist Boris Yefimov, who drew brutally satirical images of the Soviet Union's foes in the service of Josef Stalin, died Wednesday. He was 108. Yefimov's death was given wide coverage on Russian state television. No cause was given. His cartoons spanned virtually the entire history of the communist state, from shortly after the 1917 revolution to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Among his most memorable drawings was one showing a wretched-looking Hitler, who is said to have ordered Yefimov shot if the Nazis captured Moscow in World War II. Wright met Pink Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason in college and joined their early band, Sigma 6. Along with the late Syd Barrett, the four formed Pink Floyd in 1965.

Apparently, Obama is a secret Commie mole working for the Communist Party USA to destroy this shining gem of Democracy into a Red gulag. The whole idea would be laughable if it were not for the fact that a large percentage of the US voting public are simpletons with no grasp of history or the reality of their own country. This BS is only going to become more ridiculous as the Right attempt to scuttle Obama's presidential chances. They really fear his intelligence and masterful oratory skills. I can't wait to see the "debates between Obama and McCain....

March 31st would have been Cesar Chavez's 81st birthday. This date also coincided with the March National Committee meeting of the Communist Party USA . Over the weekend, we had the chance to ask a few NC members what Cesar Chavez means to them.

Dr. Seuss Goes to War: The World War II Editorial Cartoons of Theodor Seuss Geisel by Richard H. Minear, Art Spiegelman Read more about this title...   This is an interesting book that presents the best of Dr. Seuss'  (Theodor Seuss Geisel) World War 2 cartoons. Some use stereotypical depictions of the Japanese that was common during that time. Still, this book is a glimpse of a little remembered era of Dr. Seuss' career.

      No real reason to post these other than I just love Joe Cocker. There will never be another like him. It's amazing that he is still going strong at 62.   Since I'm posting videos, I may as well pop in what is probably my favorite song from the 60's, For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield. Here are two videos from the days when the song was just released. The first is a canned, studio version and the second is "live" from the Monterey Festival 1967.
