"Iranian Green" International Cartoon Exhibition

 

iranian green exhibition "Green" has a very specific meaning now: Iranian people named "Protesters" are now the symbol of freedom, bravery, and liberation. They chose "Green" as their symbol.

The subject for this exhibition are these people. The people who are going to be the most brave people of 2009.

You can send your cartoons on this theme. There is no money prize, no Trophy and party but we will organize an exhibition of selected cartoons in Paris.

Your prize will be proud of involvement of the Iranian Green Movement.


Regulations:

  • Participating in this exhibition is free
  • Any cartoonist without consideration to age, nationality and religion can participate in this exhibition
  • The technique of cartoons is free 
  • Each participant can send up to 5 entries 
  • Size limitation is minimum A4 and maximum A3. 
  • Digital (scanned) cartoons should be actual size and the resolution should be at least 300 DPI. These kind of entries should be sent to "kianoramez@aol.com
  • Each cartoonist must send a biography with their artworks 
  • The deadline for sending entries is 20th February 2010 
  • The entries should be sent to "37 Rue Chaude, 78240
    Chambourcy, France
  • Selected artworks will be exhibited in Paris, France and also published on relevant websites and the group page on Facebook 
  • The organizing committee can use the received cartoons for promotions, publishing on websites, in posters, brochures, etc.

  The fantastic cartoonist “Garrincha” (Gustavo Rodriguez) has opened a personal website to post his great cartoons. Gustavo is formerly from the country of Cuba and now, luckily for us United Statesers, resides in Miami Florida! He contributes cartoons to many websites and publications and is a featured cartoonist for the Miami El Nuevo Herald . Gustavo also has a blog that is updated frequently with new works. His cartoons span the subjects of erotic humor, politics and comic strips. He is immensely talented and, more importantly, a great guy. Soviet political cartoonist Yefimov dies at 108

REUTERS Yefimov 'survived not because of Stalin's generosity of soul, but because his talents as a cartoonist' Wed Oct 1, 4:38 PM ET MOSCOW - Celebrated political cartoonist Boris Yefimov, who drew brutally satirical images of the Soviet Union's foes in the service of Josef Stalin, died Wednesday. He was 108. Yefimov's death was given wide coverage on Russian state television. No cause was given. His cartoons spanned virtually the entire history of the communist state, from shortly after the 1917 revolution to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Among his most memorable drawings was one showing a wretched-looking Hitler, who is said to have ordered Yefimov shot if the Nazis captured Moscow in World War II.
