July 4th 2006: The state of US democracy 230 years after the American Revolution

Below are words to remember even though they would be considered treasonous by the current US government if citizens rose up for a new revolution. Thomas Jefferson stated that there should be a revolution every so many years to keep the government in check. How far do you think we'd get today for practicing one of the fundamental ideals of American Democracy?
